Large foreign company is looking for Voice Applications Engineer who is responsible for company’s voice applications, including computer telephony, voicemail, recording, conferencing and voice-related applications on the Blackberry.
Main responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting and repair of problems where automation or current documentation does not address the issue
• Documentation of discovered issues
• Assisting Level 2 personnel to accomplish Level 2 objectives where documentation and/or procedures did not work as expected
• Designing and documenting RFB or other periodic manual system checks
• Automation of known support tasks
• Remediating Level 2 procedures which did not work as expected
• Writing and updating processes, procedures, scripts, tools and configurations to be used by Level 1 and Level 2 functions
• Assisting in Level 2 level outage problems in order to accelerate resolution time
• deploy new versions of software into production
• define product handoff criteria and standards for documentation
Skills required:
The successful candidate will have a Technical university degree plus 3+ years of industry experience with a background in operations for systems on either the Linux or Windows server platform.
Strong scripting experience within Unix/Linux environment
On-the-job training will be provided for the specific applications to be supported.
Skills desired:
-Excellent communication and client management skills
=Previous experience as a Unix system administrator would be useful
-Process analysis and automation experience is highly desirable
-Familiarity with the SIP protocol is highly advantageous
-Experience with management of a VoIP environment
-Background in development is a plus
